Since 2014, ECLAT has worked to enhance the capacity of Tanzanians to improve their living standards through equal access to quality education, health, water and sanitation, and women's development.

“Before ECLAT built our school, children walked hours to the nearest classroom. Now my daughter learns right in our village. She wants to become a teacher and give back to the community that gave her this chance.
“The water filtration project changed everything for our village. We no longer worry about waterborne illness. Our children are healthier, they attend school more regularly, and the women no longer spend half the day fetching water.
“Through the women's empowerment program, I learned skills that allowed me to start my own small business. Now I can provide for my family and help other women in my community see what's possible for them too.
