Providing financial assistance as means of encouraging less privileged children to proceed to post primary education at selected institutions.
Together we can make a difference
Eclat Beginnings is dedicated to helping children, their families and communities build quality lives. It alleviates poverty through educational, trade and financial assistance.
Our mission is to create a stronger and more hopeful future by empowering individuals and communities through educational and sustainable poverty alleviation initiatives. Since 2008, Eclat Beginnings has assisted in alleviating poverty through a variety of services offered in partnership with local organisations in affected communities.

Empowering women through skills training, small business assistance, and economic opportunities to strengthen communities from within.

Education, because of its power to reduce poverty, has been our primary focus.
Since 2008, we have sponsored over a hundred children with their secondary education. These children would otherwise not have had an opportunity to fund their education.
According to a 2017 UNICEF report, Nigeria has the largest number of children out of school in the world.
10.5 million children are out of school, some, due to cultural factors, but for the rest, due to a lack of financing for publicly funded schools.
Selection of candidates is made with the assistance of a committee of school representatives and churches in the rural area being represented.
Evaluation criteria are based solely on need. Subsequent consideration is still based on need as well as academic performance; extracurricular activities or volunteer/community involvement, and good behavior.
Sponsorship Recipients are expected to use the sponsorship in the year it is awarded.
Payments for school fees are made directly to the schools by our local coordinator.
The coordinator also forwards payment of other sponsorship amounts to the student on behalf of Eclat Beginnings.
Payment Receipts are provided at the end of each term along with school results.
Programs are offered in partnership with local churches in affected communities.
Empowering women also empowers their communities and reduces poverty.
When women gain access to opportunities, including education or finances to start businesses, they invest in their families, support local economies, and inspire future generations. By uplifting women, we create stronger households, healthier communities, and sustainable pathways out of poverty for everyone.
National poverty rates calculated by NWLC based on U.S. Census Bureau reveals that more than one in 10 women aged 18 and older — over 14.8 million — lived in poverty in 2024. Poverty rates were particularly high for Black women (17.8 percent), Latinas (15.2 percent), and Native women (19.4 percent). Nearly one in three (30.6 percent) families headed by single women with children were poor in 2024.
The latest flagship report from UN Women reveals a staggering 2.0 billion women live in poverty with no access to social protection.
